Privacy Policy

Hivekeeper is owned and operated by Artiwiz Technologies Inc. ("Artiwiz", "we", "us"). Artiwiz is responsible for (the controller of) the personal data described here. For repository contents and other data your organization puts into Hivekeeper, we act on your organization's behalf.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, company, phone, country and address. Phone and address are encrypted at rest.
- Sign-in data: a hash of your password (never the password itself), and for GitHub or SSO sign-in, your provider account ID.
- GitHub access token: when you connect GitHub, so we can read the repositories you choose and open pull requests you request. Stored encrypted.
- Repository contents, during scans: to detect breaking changes we copy (clone) the repositories you select to temporary storage, analyze the files, and delete the copy when the scan finishes. For AI deep scans and fix pull requests, Code Keeper (our AI analysis engine) sends the relevant parts of your source code to our AI model provider (see below), which processes it only to return the analysis or fix and doesn't use it to train models.
- Scan results: file paths, line numbers, package names and versions, detected issues, and pull requests we created for you.
- Integration credentials you add (for example Jira or ServiceNow API tokens). Stored encrypted.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs (encrypted), invoice records and usage (scans and fix pull requests counted against your plan); we never see or store full card numbers.
- Support conversations: messages you send through in-app chat or to support@hivekeepr.com.
- Security and audit logs: sign-ins and actions in your organization, with IP address and browser user agent. Kept for 365 days.
How we use it
- To run the service: scanning repositories, reporting issues, and creating fix pull requests you ask for.
- To secure your account and your organization, and to keep an audit trail your administrators can review.
- To bill you, and to send service and security emails.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use your source code to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
- Anthropic (AI model provider behind Code Keeper: analyzes code and drafts fixes)
- GitHub (repository access and pull requests)
- Stripe (payments)
- Twilio SendGrid (transactional email)
- Intercom (support chat: your name, email, the organizations you belong to with their plan, and the messages you send us)
- Google Analytics (which pages are visited and where visitors came from; page addresses are sent without their query strings, and advertising features are off)
- Sentry (error reports, if enabled; they exclude cookies, request bodies and IP addresses)
- Cloudflare (network protection and encrypted connections to our servers)
- Our hosting provider (the servers and database that run Hivekeeper)
Security
Sensitive fields are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, passwords are hashed with Argon2id, all traffic uses TLS, access inside organizations is role-based, accounts can be protected with two-factor authentication and lock after repeated failed sign-ins, and every administrative action is written to a tamper-evident audit log.
Your rights
- Access and portability: download your data as JSON from Settings → Privacy & data.
- Erasure: delete your account from Settings → Privacy & data. Personal data is erased; audit records of past actions are kept for the retention period because organizations rely on them for compliance.
- Correction: edit your profile in Settings at any time.
- For anything else, or to complain, contact Artiwiz Technologies Inc. at support@hivekeepr.com. We reply within 30 days. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, other privacy laws such as the GDPR. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data-protection authority.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. Repository copies are deleted after each scan. Audit logs are kept for 365 days. Billing records are kept as required by tax law.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes
We'll post any change here and update the date at the top. For material changes we email account owners before they take effect.
